Joint Mobility With Imagery of Oil
Here the focus is on the pain area.
Here are some general information about joint mobility
Of course every body is different and has a different range of flexibility but it is interesting to have a general sense of what is considered normal.
-
In the morning before standing up: without forcing, slowly bring movement to your body, with the help of your hands if desired.
-
Roll the closest articulation(s) to your injury or pain area, allowing mobility and blood flow to come back to the stiff area.
-
As you move, imagine oiling the closest joint with ease, releasing tensions. There shouldn’t be a big amount of pain felt. If it is the case, make smaller movement, it is anyway better to start small to then increase the range of movement.
-
You can as well use proper body oil.
-
Find mobility in all the “healthy” directions possible
-
While doing so observe the pain; is it moving? Is it changing? What is its intensity?
-
Once observed, bring your feet to the floor and slowly shift your weight onto them to stand up.
-
Allow your body to reorganise, to restabilize itself and feel each little changes while rising up.
-
Slowly start to walk observing objectively each step that you make.
-
Imagine that with each movement, your are oiling your entire body, as if you would oil a bike to make it drive smoother.
